General FAQ’s

What kind of internet connection do I need?

We recommend a broadband high-speed internet connection.  These options include but aren’t limited to cable coax, fiber, ethernet over copper, dedicated fixed wireless, MPLS. 

Do you limit the amount of calls I can make or receive?

Nope, our service is non-blocking, meaning you can make and receive as many concurrent phone calls as your business requires.

Will my current phones work with your service?

The short answer is probably.  If you current phones are VoIP and support the SIP protocol then there is a high likelihood the phones will work just fine.  We support a wide variety of SIP based phones including popular brands such as Polycom, Cisco, Yealink, Grandstream, Snom, Panasonic, and more.

What if I have multiple offices?

Because we provide a cloud based service all your offices will be connected seamlessly to the same phone system.  This will allow you to operate as one office geographically located in different physical locations.

Do you support overhead paging systems?

Yes, we can uniquely interface with your existing overhead paging system to allow user to access the system via their IP phones.  This is accomplished via a paging interface device which we provide, please ensure you mention this requirement to your sales representative.

Can I keep my current phone number?

Absolutely! Accent will port your existing number to our cloud services by working with your existing phone provider to move your number once everything is setup and ready to go.

I'm not techy, is online ordering easy?

Yes, our online order process is designed for the non-techy community.  Simply place your online order and our expert support team will have your cloud system setup and ready to go by the next business day.  We’ll setup a consultation call with you to walk you through all the available setup options and ensure your system is designed to fit your business needs. 

Do you offer toll free numbers?

Yes, toll free numbers are available or if you already have one you can port it to our service.  Toll free inbound calling includes an per minute usage fee of $.04/min.

Will my fax machine work with your service?

While we don’t support fax machines, we do provide next generation E-Fax service.  E-Fax allows your users to send and receive faxes via their email and eliminates the need to use the fax machine, with E-Fax wherever you send and receive your email you can now send and receive your faxes.

What kind of term commitment do you require?

We offer month-to-month, 36 month, and 60 month terms depending on the services you require. 

VoiceONE Connect FAQ’s

What's the difference between Connect and Cloud Phone System?

Connect is a team communication and messaging application which works on any device and does not require Accent’s cloud phone system to utilize its team communication features.  Cloud phone system is a complete business phone system in the cloud providing in/out calling and business telephony features.  The Connect app is included with every cloud phone system user.

Does Connect provide calling to external numbers?

When Connect is used as a standalone team communication app it does not provide inbound or outbound calling to external numbers.  When Connect is integrated with Accent’s cloud phone system it provides a complete business phone system including inbound and outbound calling.

Can I upgrade to a full cloud phone system?

Yes! You can upgrade the standalone Connect app to cloud phone system at any time.  Simply contact our sales team and speak to a representative to get upgraded. 

Where does Connect work?

Connect works on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices via the respective native app.  Any device which has access to a compatible web browser can run the Connect web app which provides all the features of the native apps as well.

What kind of payment options do you offer?

We offer month-to-month and annual payment options for the standalone Connect service.

Is Connect included with the Cloud Phone System option?

Yes! The Connect app is included with every cloud phone system user.  You can get started using the Connect app as a standalone team communication service and upgrade to cloud phone system at any time.

Can I keep my current phone system?

If you are using the Connect app as a standalone team communication app then you can absolutely keep your current phone system. 

Does Connect support Video Meetings?

Connect provides team audio conferencing and one-to-one video calls with screen sharing.  To host full online meetings including voice and video with external participants we recommend our Video Meetings service.

What is "Team Voice & Video Calling"?

Team Voice & Video Calling provides users the ability to communicate with teammates who are also using Connect via private and secure communication.  Connect provides teams with a full team communication suite including voice calling, video, chat, collaboration, file sharing, and more.  This communication takes place via Accent’s provide cloud service within the Connect app.

VoiceONE Meetings FAQ’s

How many participants can I host on VoiceONE Meetings?

Currently VoiceONE Meetings supports 30 participants per meeting. 

What kind of internet connection do I need for VoiceONE Meetings?

VoiceONE Meetings will adjust video quality based on your internet speed and estimated processing available on your computer/smartphone. An average HD video session can require between 2-3Mbps bandwidth upload and download respectively.

You can choose the video quality transmitted to your computer by clicking “Manage Video Quality” under the Settings menu.

Can I use my PC speakers and microphone?

Yes, you can use the integrated audio capabilities of your PC/Mac/smartphone with VoiceONE Meetings.  There is no requirement to dial-in via the PSTN.

Accent always recommends a headset or conference quality speakerphone when using the integrated device audio for meetings. 

What software do I need for VoiceONE Meetings?

On Windows & Mac:

  • VoiceONE Meetings will run within your web browser.
  • Supported browsers include Google Chrome (recommended), Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge.
  • Desktop apps for Windows and Mac are available.

On mobile devices:

  • VoiceONE Meetings apps for iOS and Android devices are available via the respective app store.

Are dial-in numbers available?

Yes, dial-in numbers are available for every meeting.  Each meeting will have an associated meeting ID used to access the meeting via PSTN dial-in.  Users may also create a secure PIN for each meeting to provide additional meeting privacy.
