Accent App: Google OAuth Utilization

The Accent app provides users with cloud phone, team messaging, and video meetings services.  Users of Accent’s services may host ad-hoc or scheduled video meetings from within the app.  The app utilizes Google OAuth integration to provide the user with an efficient app experience allowing them to access scheduled video meetings with one-click.

Specfically, the app reads the authenticated user’s calendar information and imports the specific meeting and event information into the app for the current day.  Once the calendar information is imported, the app provides quick one-click access to both Accent Meetings and popular third-party meeting services.

The app does not store meeting or calendar event information beyond the current day.  Once the day is completed, the app discards the meeting information completely.  Furthermore, Accent’s cloud services do not interact with personal information of any type, the interaction occurs at the local application level and the user is the only entity with access to the data.  At any time the user may disconnect the OAuth integration and clear all personal calendar data via a setting within the app as well.
